Sesquicentennial State Park is located in the beautiful Sandhills of South Carolina. The park includes about 1,400 acres and is a 12-minute drive from Wildewood South. Sesqui has a 30-acre park and lake with rental fishing boats, paddle boats, paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes. The Sandhills Trail is a two-mile ADA-accessible circuit around the lake, also includes a 6.5-mile cycling track. Sesquicentennial State Park is a fabulous place for a day trip or an evening jog.

Located in Northeast Columbia, the Village at Sandhill is a fantastic retail experience. Shoppers can visit restaurants, fashion stores, and special events in one stop. They also have an art gallery for local artists and a coffee shop to perk you up after a long day of shopping. It is Columbia’s largest and most popular shopping mall. Belk, Burlington Coat Factory, JCPenney, Sam’s Club, and The Home Depot are among the mall’s anchors. Village at Sandhill is conveniently located near I-20 and I-77.

The city’s lone professional baseball team is the Columbia Fireflies. As a nod to the team’s name, a portion of the team’s shirts glow in the dark. Fans can watch the Fireflies in a contemporary stadium with great food. Imagine the smell of popcorn in the air and the cheer of the crowd! In 2020, the Fireflies became an affiliate of the Kansas City Royals because of the MLB’s minor league reconfiguration. Swing by Segra Park for a night of excitement with the Columbia Fireflies!
